Sleepy urges all his friends to persevere. . .
Despite the economic hard times currently upon us, Sleepy feels confident about the future and he wants to share a new song parody based on a Lerner and Loewe classic.
Sleepy James is a LA-based-singer-songwriter. He’s lived in Southern California for more than 40 years and has performed his own material and other songs in hundreds of places in the Los Angeles area. His first CD, "L.A. 'til Morning," released in 2001, was a musical tribute to his adopted hometown.
Now the Drowsy One is back with a new collection of all original tunes. "The American Prisoner" features 15 songs in various styles and rhythms by our nearly comatose crusader. The original seed for this album was planted with the U.S. invasion of Iraq. Like many artists, Sleepy became frustrated by the apathy of Americans to a useless war and the systematic dismantling of the Bill of Rights.
